How light forms an image in the brain

  •  Light rays reflect off the object and into the eye where they are refracted by the cornea and focused by the lens on to the retina, the optic nerve then carries the messages to the brain and an image is formed.

Images don't form in the eyes they form in the brain. The retina at the back of the eye receives light energy from the exterior environment. This is much like the reception of radio waves by an antenna. The activated optic nerves transmit electical signals or messages tothe brain which interprets the impulses into an image.
